The third planet from the sun would be spellbinding to all extra-terrestrial beholders, if there were any.
A particularly fascinating ‘zoom-in’ landmark would magnetize their eyes, in the Indian Ocean, just below India. Adored from time immemorial as the world’s Garden of Eden, the island of Sri Lanka is a visitor’s paradise. Visitors of both kinds would be mesmerized by its natural splendor and friendly nature. Sri Lanka, Ceylon, Serendib or whatever you wish to call it, is a rare spectacle. Very rare, in fact. The small island is packed with warm golden beaches, thriving rain forests, chilly mountains and fascinating tropical terrain, all within touching distance; a geographical kaleidoscope almost not witnessed anywhere else in this world, or any other. The country’s ancient ruins and archeological preserves including Sigiriya, the 8th wonder of the world; a vividly colourful culture and the ever-smiling inhabitants, complete a picture-perfect holiday. Writers and travelers have sung praise of this magical land and we too, could go on. But that’s a different story. |
